Artist No. 2 - Emily Pool
Buckingham Artist No. 2 - Emily Pool
This is my third Bucks Open Studios and I can definitely say that it is getting a little less daunting each year! We have a wonderful group of artists again at The Woolpack this year and the pub is looking fantastic, with our artwork filling the walls.
This year I have been far more focused on printmaking after investing in some new tools and inks. The regular meetings of Bafa Buckingham Printmakers has certainly kept my creativity on its toes and as a result I am really pleased with the selection of work made for this years exhibition.
I have been particularly been inspired by a trip north of the border into the Highlands earlier in the year - as you might have guessed by 'Och Tousie' above, a six colour reduction lino, it kept me busy for a few weeks waiting for each layer to dry properly. Come by the pub when I am stewarding (See Website for the Rota) to see some more Linocuts in process along with some loose Watercolours and Acrylic Inks!
