Louise Stoner Photographer -
With a background in documentary films I turned my fly-on-the-wall approach to stills photography over 20 years ago. I'm interested in capturing images of people while they are off guard, quiet, in their own solitary world against the backdrop of large cities. I have been inspired by the photographer Saul Leiter, particularly his early colour photos in New York and also by the isolated interior paintings of Edward Hopper. Using high vantage points, reflections or slow shutter speeds, I work fast, roaming cities unobserved, in my own quiet space. louisestonerphotography.co.uk louisestonerphotography@gmail.com |
